I Have a Birthday Party

On Saturday, I grabbed my party beads
and got ready to celebrate my first birthday!



My Cousin, McKena is so silly!
She even thought it was her birthday!


I had a great time catching up on girl talk
with my Aunt Steph and Cousin Zanna.


Mom helped me open my presents...


And Riley helped me play with them.


I got a lot of pretty outfits!


And then it was time for my cake.
But did you know that even though Mom and Dad
said it was MY cake, they wouldn't even let me play with the candle.


So after they took the candle away,
I was finally able to dig into the icing.


I was doing just fine and then
Mom had to put this party hat on me.
I've let her know before that
I DON'T LIKE HATS!
But she took it off pretty quick.


And did you know that I can't get any sympathy!?
I thought that Riley was coming to check on me,
but he just wanted my cake.


And then Mom even had to have some.


I figured the best way to keep everybody
out of my cake was to just put my hands in
every bit of it.


I think I did a pretty good job of messing my cake up!


See?!


But guess what!
I was so messy that Mom put me right in the sink!
I love to splash and splash!


Uh-oh!
I think I got some water in my eyes....


Oh well, who cares!
I'm a whole year old
and lovin' my baby life!
