How your baby's growing:
Your baby's hit the 2-inch mark (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. Her face is beginning to look more human. Her eyes, which started out on the sides of her head, have moved closer together on her face, and her ears are near their final positions on the sides of her head. Your baby's intestines, which have grown so rapidly that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into her abdominal cavity about now. Her nerve cells have been multiplying rapidly, and synapses (neurological pathways in the brain) are forming. Your baby may have acquired more reflexes by now, including sucking, and she'll even squirm if you prod your abdomen, though you still won't be able to feel her movement for several weeks.I got that from BabyCenter.com. It's amazing that La Beana has turned into La Lime! My next appointment is August 8 and I'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again. Hopefully Ryan will be able to go with me and hear it also. It always amazes me to hear that little bean inside (pardon, LIME now) just beating away on her own accord.
I'll probably have an ultrasound in 6 weeks or so just to make sure we're on target. We've decided not to find out the sex.... YEAH RIGHT! I don't think either one of us would be able to stand it. Maybe the next one we'll let be a surprise.
I've decided I have to start eating better. Riley and I walk at least two and half to three miles every day, so diet is next. Gotta fix that. But otherwise, all is still going great!
