Only 199 days to go! That seems like forever and just around the corner all at the same time. Ryan and I are still house hunting. We're actually enjoying the process together, although sometimes it feels like a Sisyphean task. We've made a ton of progress on the condo, but I wish I had a little more energy to do more.
I have had the energy to walk with Riley every day for the past couple weeks. I think he's gotten to where he's used to it and enjoys our walks. He rarely sleeps and most of the time spends the first 10 minutes of our walk talking to the birds, the trees, the grass... anything that will listen. Then he settles in and chews on his toys.
LaBeana is doing great. Growing at a seemingly rapid rate even though I have yet to have a blizzard. (I spent the first 2 trimesters at Dairy Queen when I was pregnant with Riley and it showed!) My diet this time around so far has been adequate. Not nearly as good as it was before babies, which is quite ironic, but I'm getting better. Like I said - no blizzards, and that's a vast improvement from last time. However, I'm still considering ordering a shirt I saw that says: Pregnant - NOT FAT.
But we are still enjoying this pregnancy a ton! Riley and I woke Ryan up in our usual way this morning by "Daddy-slamming" him - which is when I take Riley and mock throwing him onto Ryan and he lands with all his body weight on Ryan's stomach. The three of us usually have about 10 minutes together in the big bed before Ryan gets up to take a shower and I get up to make breakfast for all. This morning as Riley was using Ryan as practice for Mount Kilimanjaro and me for Mount St. Helen's, I made the comment that this time next year, there would be 2 babies in the big bed! Ryan just smiled.
I'm still amazed at how good he is with Riley and what a great father he is. But he's such a wonderful man I don't know why I should be amazed. But I know one thing.... I can't wait to see him with a girl!
