Für Elise

Okay, Elece. This is for you...

The poll is finally up. My sister-in-law, Elece, has asked me about it more than once so I dedicate this post and this song to her.

Actually I love the name Elece (and that musical masterpiece by Beethoven). That name has been a favorite of my since the first time I saw the movie Somewhere in Time. Jane Seymour played opposite Christopher Reeves in this classic love story. Her character's name is Elece and for me, that name has always epitomized grace, beauty, poise, and sheer loveliness. But I suppose I need to find a more original name.

So, we've posted a few names and as you can see, Ryan and I are nowhere near on the same page. At this point I'm not sure we're even in the same book. Before we found out Bean is definitely a "she", we had both agreed on Ava Lynn. But then it seemed everywhere we turned, just about every little girl was named Ava, so we changed our minds about that.

I suggested that we start the poll with just first names (since I was having trouble coming up with middle names), but Ryan insisted that we put both first and middle names. He added that he thinks Bean's name is in the poll, the first and middle name just may not be paired correctly yet. In other words, we're still open to suggestions but go ahead and pick the names you like on the poll too. The poll will be open until New Year's Eve, then we may pick the favorites of both polls (and maybe a couple suggestions) and then put one more poll up.

But since we were pressured to pick out some names, this is where we're at so far. (Just kidding, Elece!)
