It Takes a Village

I got a much enjoyed "Mom's Morning Out" this morning. Auntie Janet came over to keep Riley company while I got out for a little while. Save for a doctor's appointment, I don't remember the last time I was without my guys. I'm always with one or the other or both. I got to run some errands while Riley stayed home and played and played. There was a bonus for me. Janet let me borrow her car - her 2002 Corvette to be exact - to run my errands. I told Ryan it was somewhat reminiscent of Chris Farley's Saturday Night Live skit of the "fat guy in a little coat." Only in my case it was "pregnant lady in a little car." I'm sure I looked pretty funny getting in and out, but was very glad that I was able to do so without help! I was extremely careful driving and only "punched it" one time. But I had to get around a semi, so I was very justified!

It really was nice to get out for a little while! Especially since I was able to get out in style! Janet and Riley had a ball and I was glad - well mostly glad - that he didn't even seem to miss me too much. When I came home, he looked up at me, pointed, and smiled that sweet baby smile, then went right back to playing. It seemed like Janet had a good time too. She's such a sweet person! I told Ryan that Janet is the type of friend who, when you ask her for an inch, she'll give you a yard and it'll be trimmed with lace. So thanks very much, Auntie Janet! I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate everything.

Katelyn is doing well. I think the only way I would've enjoyed our outing more is if she hadn't been stomping on my pea-sized bladder. I told Ryan that I'm so looking forward to not having to run to the bathroom every 20 minutes. 32 days left. I know I shouldn't be counting, but I can't help it. This time around has been a little more difficult than I thought it was going to be. But I do have a lot more going on. Still, the physical stress has started to get to me.
